Recalibrate is a software tool that will check and reset a logger's magnetometer. The software will generate new hard-iron calibration coefficients for all of Lowell Instruments loggers and current meters. Hard-iron errors are the most common type of magnetometer error and can occur due to the presence of strong magnetic fields and due to drift over time. Once new coefficients have been determined, they can then be loaded into the logger and/or saved and applied to data files during file conversion.
