LOWELL INSTRUMENTS LIMITED WARRANTY
Lowell Instruments LLC (“Lowell Instruments”) warrants that its electronic instrumentation products (“Product” or “Products”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of original purchase by the end-user (“Warranty Period”).
1. Coverage
During the Warranty Period, Lowell Instruments will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any Product determined to have a defect in materials or workmanship, provided the Product is returned in accordance with the procedures outlined below. Repaired or replacement Products will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or ninety (90) days from the date of return shipment, whichever is longer. This warranty applies globally to all eligible Products, regardless of country of purchase.
2. Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, or operation not in accordance with published specifications or instructions.
- Damage caused by exposure to environmental conditions beyond those specified by Lowell Instruments, including extreme temperatures, pressures or corrosive liquids.
- Products that have been altered, modified, or repaired by anyone other than Lowell Instruments or its authorized service providers.
- Software or open-source components provided with or alongside the Product, which are provided “as is” without warranty.
- Consumable or perishable components, such as batteries or desiccants, unless failure is due to a manufacturing defect.
Embedded firmware is covered under this warranty.
3. Warranty Claims and Return Procedure
To obtain warranty service:
- Contact Lowell Instruments during the Warranty Period to describe the issue and request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
- Ship the defective Product, freight prepaid and appropriately packaged, with the RMA number clearly visible.
Lowell Instruments is not responsible for Products lost or damaged during return shipment.
4. Out-of-Warranty Repair
For Products outside the Warranty Period, Lowell Instruments offers repair services for a fee. Customers may contact Lowell Instruments for an evaluation and cost estimate. All out-of-warranty repairs are subject to availability of parts and technician assessment.
5. Limitation of Liability
This Limited Warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy for Product defects. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lowell Instruments disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall Lowell Instruments be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages,
including loss of profits or data.
6. Transferability
This warranty is valid for any end-user who can provide proof of original purchase from Lowell Instruments or an authorized distributor.
7. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
