Resetting the Device
Very infrequently something goes wrong and the microprocessor in the MAT-1 Data Logger will crash and need to be reset.
Loggers with serial numbers of 2006000 and higher contain a reset button. The button can be pressed with a small object such as the end of a pen or pencil (avoid metal objects that could short with the circuity). The reset button is located to the right of the USB port and is a small black rectangle. Press briefly and the green and red LEDs should blink three times. If they do not, then either the battery is dead or there is something more seriously wrong with the logger.
For loggers with serial numbers less than 2006000, the battery must be disconnected for 10+ seconds and then reconnected. The red and green LEDs should flash three times.
Tools are required to remove the battery for serial numbers less than 2006000:
- TCM-1, TCM-3 or MAT-1
- 3/32" Hex Driver
- Circuit Board Holder Tool (recommended)
- TCM-4
- 3/32" Hex Driver
- #2 Phillips Screwdriver
- ¾” Diameter x 8” Wood Pusher Dowel
